About Marsha Heiken
Hi, lovers or art. My name is Marsha Heiken. Happily married for 52 years, with 3 beautiful daughters and 11 grandkids. I live in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and I am 71 years old. I have fibromyalgia and chronic pain. Twelve years ago, I needed a passion and God gave me the instant gift of art. I read, practiced, and before you knew it, I was painting. I am in love with it! It helps calm my pain and gives me a reason to get out of bed. I hope you enjoy my work. I can't paint or take photos like I use to,but I can't quit commenting with my Artist friends. I love FAA All Rights to all my Photographs and Paintings have a Copyright for all time ,until it is...

The story I was told as a child is that the cross was made from a dogwood, and the little tree was so disheartened to be used for such a purpose that god made its branches bent and gnarled so it could never again be used for a cross. But made it beautiful to see.

Marsh, Thanks for great comments about Echo Lake. I just "made it up." But it is the name of your street, Echo Lake Drive, that is. LOVE and blessings to you. YOU are very talented & creative. Always your friend, Anne in VA.

we may have to discuss a purchase once I recuperate from the holidays and the expense of our upcoming trip to Colorado. I'd love a small print set of this series for some bare wall in our Colorado home. Just beautiful Marsha.
